Carol L. Waldman, 81, of Janesville passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011 shortly after arrival at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. Carol was born on October 16, 1929 in South Beloit, IL, the daughter of Clarence and Edna (Rowe) McDonald. She married Robert F. Waldman on August 21, 1948. Carol was employed in the payroll department at General Motors for over 38 years. She was a member of Janesville Rebekah Lodge # 26, Kienow-Hilt V.F.W. Auxiliary # 1621, Women of the Moose Lodge # 477 and was a past president of the Janesville chapter of A.B.W.A. Carol Waldman is survived by 2 children, Katherine L. Gasser of Waukesha, WI, Robert J. Waldman of Janesville, 4 grandchildren, Kyle Robert Gasser (Megan), Caroline Louise Gasser, Lindsey K. Asay (Matthew), Joseph Robert Waldman, 4 great-grandchildren, Anthony Joseph Cullton, Kielyee Asay, Jordan Rose Gasser, Josephine Elizabeth Gasser and her grand dog, Louie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on December 11, 2003. Also preceding her in death are her parents and 7 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Amstutz officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Private entombment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are preferred to the Phantom Lake YMCA Camp, Mukwonago, WI in Carol’s name.
